Industry-Regulated Courses
There is a wide range of holistic and complementary therapy modalities that do not fit into the Government Training Frameworks in most countries. These include Yoga, Holistic Counselling, Life Coaching, Meditation, and Holistic Art Therapy, just to name a few. There is a misconception that these modalities are unregulated, but they are, in fact, industry-regulated.
In modalities that are industry regulated instead of government regulated, the use of terms like Certificate, Practitioner and Master Practitioner are used to define training courses, but these courses do not provide a nationally recognised/government-accredited qualifications. These courses provide graduates with an internationally approved and industry-recognised qualification, which meets the requirements to practice as a therapist under these modalities, join industry associations and get professional indemnity and liability insurance.

Our courses are recognised by the International Institute of Complementary Therapists, the International Practitioners of Holistic Medicine, the International Association of Therapists, and the Complementary Medicine Association. These industry associations all have an excellent global reputation and a rigorous screening process. We are very proud to have their stamps of approval. Our graduates can join the IICT, IAOTH, IPHM, and the CMA and get professional practitioner insurance.
What is a Certificate or Practitioner Course?
A certificate is a document awarded by an educational institution testifying that the recipient has graduated by successfully completing their courses of studies. The modalities delivered through the Mindful Institute are professional-level practitioner training courses and are industry approved. These modalities are non-government-regulated. Therefore accreditation and approval are provided through established industry associations. The certificates and practitioner qualifications offered at Mindful Institute do not lead to government-regulated higher education awards. The modalities we teach are all industry-regulated, and we comply with those standards.
Mindful Institute's Graduate-Only courses are intended as professional development courses for graduates of a Mindful Institute course, and are not part of any government-regulated education award. Mindful Institute's courses are industry-accredited. No matter where you decide to study, Mindful Institute recommends you choose training courses with similar industry-accreditation. Otherwise, course graduates may not be able to obtain insurance or practice legally and ethically.
